Schools can start any time during the year. Licenses remain valid for 365 days from the date of activation unless specified otherwise.

All our packages are customisable according to your school needs. The package includes three main components: teacher training, curriculum licenses, and hardware. These components are tailored to meet the specific needs of your educational institution.

The Inspire curriculum is accessible to any educator, regardless of age or experience. It is created for teachers, by teachers.  The curriculum is versatile, allowing experienced tech-savvy educators to integrate it as a source of inspiration and enrichment in their existing lessons. For those less tech-savvy, step-by-step guidance is provided to navigate all our digital activities effectively.

Each of the 500+ lessons on the Inspire Campus is accompanied by a comprehensive lesson plan, worksheet, and an educator's memorandum. These digital activities are thoughtfully guided and come with solutions. The lessons also feature a variety of tutorials and visual aids to assist educators in their teaching.

We onboard both teachers and students onto the Inspire Campus. Learners will have access to a selection of courses, while educators will have access to the complete curriculum, which they can project on the board for classroom instruction or use as a guideline.

Our curriculum currently spans Grade 4 to Grade 9, with an Agricultural course designed for Grade 10 to Grade 12.

Grade 3 will become available by the end of 2023, and we plan to introduce curriculum materials for Grade R to Grade 2 in 2024.

Our Content Development Team is continually developing content, and as a result, new lessons are consistently added to the Inspire Campus each month.

While we do not have a fully unplugged solution, you have the option to print Inspire Lessons, Worksheets, and Memorandums and compile them into booklets if your institution requires an offline curriculum.

Licensing

Educator licenses grant access to the Inspire Campus LMS (Learner Management System) and DroneBlocks Curriculum. These licenses are active for a duration of 365 days starting from the date of activation.

Educators are provided with access to teacher-facing materials, such as lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments. Learners, on the other hand, can access interactive learner-facing content.

Student licenses grant learners access to the learner-facing content on Inspire Campus. Additionally, they give educators permission (educator licence)  to use the materials provided in the educator license, such as worksheets, and distribute them to their students.

The license fee is calculated based on a cost per student for a 12-month access to the curriculum. The exact fee depends on the number of students and typically falls within the range of R200 to R300 for the entire year, providing access to all the content.

Educators have the flexibility to choose whether students can progress at their own pace or have all students engage in the same work simultaneously. The curriculum is adaptable to suit various teaching approaches.

Training

Yes, when you purchase the Inspire STEAM Education program package, you receive a hybrid of online and in-person training for educators.

The educator training program is divided into two parts: online and in-person training. The online session typically lasts for about two hours and is followed by one or more self-study modules. Once these online components are completed, the in-person training is conducted at your school, which can span either one or two days. The duration of the in-person training depends on the specific parts of the curriculum your school intends to utilise.

Hardware and Technical

Yes, Inspire Africa provides comprehensive support for all their products and has a dedicated technical team capable of performing any necessary repairs. Additionally, spare parts can be purchased separately for any required maintenance.

Yes, we are more than happy to assist with hardware repairs and servicing.

Ideally, it would be best for each learner to have their own robot or drone for hands-on experience. However, many schools operate with a ratio of 3 learners per robot.

While it is technically possible to complete the Inspire Curriculum using the included simulators, we recommend having at least one of each piece of hardware to provide demonstrations, if not one unit for every 3 to 5 learners.

The Inspire software and apps are compatible with a wide range of devices, including Android, Apple, Chromebooks, and Windows devices.

However, when using a computer or laptop for 3D modeling and design in applications like TinkerCAD or Fusion360, it is advisable to have a minimum of an i3-CPU for optimal performance.

To ensure that simulators and other interfaces function seamlessly, we recommend a minimum of 3 Mbps per learner. For instance, in a classroom with 25 students, it is suggested to have a dedicated line with a speed of 75 Mbps for optimal performance.

Yes, students would require a smartphone, tablet, Chromebook, or computer to access our software programs for coding.
