Level 7 – Smart Home

R 1,020

The Smart Home Kit gives learners the tools to design and build realistic home-automation systems using the BBC micro:bit. With multiple sensors, including PIR, sound, soil moisture, temperature, and light, plus outputs such as a relay, LED, and servo motor, students see how event-driven programming powers everyday smart devices.

Learners start with guided projects like voice-activated lights, motion-triggered entry systems, and temperature-based fans. The included Smart Home Material Pack provides miniature doors, fans, and other components so students can prototype systems that look and function like real-world solutions. Once the basics are mastered, the kit supports open-ended innovation, encouraging learners to design custom multi-sensor systems that integrate logic coding with environmental control.
