Level 9 – Smart City

R 980

The Smart City Kit challenges learners to design and program intelligent urban systems using automation and multi-sensor inputs. With components like an ultrasonic sensor, PIR sensor, traffic light module, relay, and pushbutton, students simulate real-world infrastructure such as pedestrian crossings, street lights, smart trash bins, and subway barriers.

Through guided projects, learners explore sequencing, timed events, and condition-based actions, while developing the ability to integrate multiple sensors and outputs into complex, coordinated systems. Using MakeCode, they apply coding skills to solve practical challenges, preparing them to think critically about the design of future cities.
