Drone Heroes

Our first Drone Heroes class started in June 2020 with three full classes for Grades 4 – 12. The excitement and enthusiasm of the participants have been incredible since the first day. We have successfully completed three of the five-week Drone Heroes classes, with our fourth class launching on the 24th of April.

Drone Heroes?

Drone Heroes is an online live webinar programme for students from Grades 4 up to 12. The live webinars consist of curated lessons on:

  • Introduction to Drones and Coding.
  • Loops.
  • Polygons.
  • Camera skills.
  • And much more all-inclusive of drone technology.

Included in our Drone Heroes package are:

  • One DJI Tello drone.
  • Two rechargeable batteries to power the drone.

The Tello is a lightweight programmable drone with a flight time of about 13 minutes. This drone is ideal for the programme as it is easy to learn and safe to fly indoors. This makes it perfect for young students learning at home.

Who can sign up?

Anyone looking to tap into 4iR technology, young and old, can sign up and start flying. Our programmes are designed for beginner-level students with zero experience in flying drones. However, if you are looking for more of a challenge, our intermediate and advanced Drone Heroes courses are designed to challenge and test the flyer.
